Sponsored
October 22, 2014

On Monday, we kicked off our sixth video series with Panna, a subscription cooking app and website dedicated to sharing recipes from master chefs in HD video -- and we showed previews of our sixth issue, in which Amanda and Merrill make mrsp's Sweet Potatoes Anna with Prunes

Today, we're sharing bonus footage: Amanda and Merrill demonstrate how to slice a sweet potato by using a mandoline, ensuring thin and even rounds every time.

Interested in seeing the Sweet Potatoes Anna come together? Watch the full-length video from Issue 13 on Panna's website, and check out Amanda's and Merrill's words on what constitues a dish as "Anna".

It's appropriate that this post is at Halloween time as the Mandolin is one kitchen device that seemingly requires a blood sacrifice.

I love the skin of sweet potatoes -- if you scrub 'em well, there's no need to peel!
