On FB the title of the article says "anchovies" but the photo is of a can of sardines. I love them both but sardines are not anchovies.

I'm not motivated enough to google this and compare pictures of sardines and anchovies side-to-side, but the can in the photo might contain whole anchovies, as opposed to the usual salted and oiled anchovy fillets.

I always have cans of both on hand in my pantry. That photo doesn't resemble any can of anchovies I've ever opened, anywhere!
