Cake & Pie: Great Rivals, or Best Friends?

November 12, 2015

Cake versus pie: an age-old rivalry that has split countries and families (including my own). But what if, instead of pitting cake against pie, we embraced their differences as telltale signs of compatibility?

Where cake is light and tender, pie is gooey and nutty. Where cake is dense and chocolatey, pie is syrupy and fruity. Where cake is crumbly, pie is custardy. Where cake is cheese, pie is vegan.

This holiday season, make a cake and a pie. We promise these 6 pairs will get along (and that none of your pie- or cake-hating guests will complain).
