Our Latest Contest: Your Best No-Bake Desserts

by:
August  1, 2016

Many of summer's best treats—pies, schlumpfs, even many custardy ice creams—require a period at the stove or in the oven. And for a large portion of them, we're willing to make the investment; the payoff is clear (we're talking about pie here, after all).

But there comes a point each season where even pie couldn't convince you to get near the oven, where dinner is watermelon and a cold beer and dessert is either procured from the ice cream store or something that doesn't require any heat at all to come together—like creamy matcha ice pops, watermelon pudding, beer floats, fudgy icebox cakes, strawberry ice drizzled with sweetened condensed milk, or buckeye-style bonbons.
