Your Co-Piloted Roadmap to Thanksgiving at Food52

November 14, 2016

I sent an email with the subject line "I have an idea......... [sic]" to my mother a week ago. The entire email said:

WHAT IF WE SKIP THE TURKEY THIS YEAR? was thinking: porchetta

To which she replied:

Woah!!!! I love the idea! ok so if we do the pork I'll have to go back to the Thanksgiving wizard and see what would be great sides.

She meant the menu Genie, bless her heart, and no, we're not really any closer to planning this thing. I thought, just in case any of you were in the same boat, I'd give you a quick rundown of what you can find on Food52 to help. To plan for you. To tell you everything is okay. To remind you you got this.

I have a thing for most foods topped with a fried egg, a strange disdain for overly soupy tomato sauce, and I can never make it home without ripping off the end of a newly-bought baguette. I like spoons very much.
