Raw Zucchini and Bottarga with Lemon and Daikon Dressing  Strawberry Coconut Soup for a Summer Brunch

Any food52 member is welcome to help us test our Editors' Pick candidates, so go call dibs on the recipe you'd like to test in the comments section below! We'd love to see some new testers in the mix. Don't forget to email us your notes (about 100 words) to [email protected] by next Tuesday at 5pm.

We'll collect your comments, decide the official list of Editors' Picks and publish your evaluation in the headnote if the recipe is selected as an Editors' Pick (with credit, of course!). And even if the recipe you test isn't chosen as an Editors' Pick, please feel free to leave your testing notes in the recipe's comments section. Constructive criticism is always encouraged!

Wow! Great round up of recipes. If the oysters are still available would love to test those! Thanks for the ep nominations, too.

Sagegreen July 8, 2011
I see that lapadia volunteered for the oysters if they can be grilled. If not, I love oysters raw. Let us know.

lapadia July 8, 2011
"Hey Sagegreen!"... I am shouting out to you to GO AHEAD AND TAKE THE OYSTERS, it's been 18 hours and haven't heard back..hmmm, so since you will truly do them in the "raw", it is fine with me. I may still do them grilled though! :)

lapadia July 8, 2011
Okay, so it's official "raw" tester = Sagegreen, right?

hardlikearmour July 8, 2011
Not that my vote counts, but here's what I think. Sagegreen = official tester. Lapadia = make with grilled oysters, and put your notes in a comment for others who prefer cooked to raw!

lapadia July 8, 2011
"Right on!" HLA :)

lorigoldsby July 7, 2011
Congrats all on the EP's! I'm swamped this week helping out at the barn feeding 50 hungry riders at camp but I will definitely be testing a lot of these!

fiveandspice July 7, 2011
Thanks for the EP! Sorry I missed out on the dibs-ing - I hate all-day meetings on Tuesdays! I would take the oysters, except oysters are the one food in the world I really can't stomach. :( Congrats on all the amazing looking entries.

gingerroot July 7, 2011
Many thanks for the EPs! Congrats to all the EPs and EP candidates! This was such a fun contest filled with so many fabulous interpretations of "in the raw." I think I could eat from these entries for the rest of the summer!

nogaga July 7, 2011
I'll take the zucchini and bottarga!

AntoniaJames July 7, 2011
Will be making it tomorrow morning, to eat at lunch time. The recipe is clear as can be. Also, I really appreciate that the chili is optional. Can't wait to try it. I know it's going to be outstanding. ;o)

Yes, the chili is totally optional!

duclosbe1 July 7, 2011

hardlikearmour July 7, 2011
Yay! Do let me know what you think, AJ.

duclosbe1 July 7, 2011
I've been dying to try pepper with strawberries. This sounds perfect!

lapadia July 7, 2011
I haven't found pink peppercorns in my little town, since the local Gourmet Essentials store went out of business, I am having to really search and/or plan a trip to Seattle for special items. But, for this recipe... our strawberries are just starting to get ripe, so I have some time to play with :)

hardlikearmour July 7, 2011
I find the pink pepper milder and fruitier than black. I will seriously sometimes nibble on the berries because I like them so much. I've had good luck ordering spices from World Spice Merchants out of Seattle as another option. They've got a great assortment of unusual spices and sell in small quantities.

AntoniaJames July 7, 2011
lapadia, please send me your address via the messaging system (through my profile) and I'll send you a packet in an envelope! We can get them easily and dirt cheap on the spice racks (little cellophane packets, packaged and distributed locally) in any independent market here. I'll pop some in the mail tomorrow!! ;o)

AntoniaJames July 7, 2011
HLA, have a batch of these underway already. Salivating as I wait, patiently . . . . . ;o)

lapadia July 7, 2011
@HLA – I have a planned Seattle trip to William Sonoma the end of this month, can check it out there too!
@AJ – so kind of you, it will be here b4 my Seattle trip! Will message you :)
OH!! BTW – as AJ so elegantly stated in her Q&A “I love you all, too, love the camaraderie!”

hardlikearmour July 7, 2011
@ lapadia - I wish I'd thought to offer to send them to you! AJ is wonderful for sure. @ AJ - I hope you enjoy them!

BlueKaleRoad July 7, 2011
@lapadia-When you are in Seattle be sure to pop into Penzey's Spice, as well (near Pike Place Mkt). I used to mail order spices from them and they opened a shop here last Oct. It's terrific! Happy to meet up with you, too.

lapadia July 8, 2011
@HLA - :) :)
@BKR - I order from Penzy's (now & then), wow, last I checked the nearest store was in Oregon, it is great to know about the one in Seattle! Let's talk about a meet up, will message you...

duclosbe1 July 8, 2011
I have the pink peppercorns from Penzey's--I made a special pit stop to a Penzey's store on a recent trip home to Wisconsin. I haven't used them yet, though, so I will soon discover how yummy they are!

em-i-lis July 7, 2011
I'll take the crispy carrot and radish slaw.
