You'll be sipping in style.

When you think of aperitivo hour, it's only natural to dream up scenes of sipping bubbly cocktails along the Riviera or poolside in the Cinque Terre. You can almost taste that crisp spritz and smell the sea breeze before you're snapped out of that daydream to realize you're standing in line at the post office, not on a balcony on the Mediterranean coast.

Luckily, you don't need to be on an Italian holiday to make aperitivo hour part of your summer schedule. Cocktails that fit within the aperitivo family are typically light, refreshingly minimal, lower-ABV, dry or bitter, and a little bubbly. Think: sips with vermouth, amaro, or prosecco. They're intended to be enjoyed before a meal—aperitifs stimulate the appetite, while digestifs are believed to help aid digestion after eating—which makes them an ideal addition to any pre-dinner snack hour.

To help with your aperitivo hour planning, we've pulled eight of our favorite cocktail glasses so you can sip your drink of choice in style—be it a Blueberry Orange Spritz, Aperitivo Frizzante, or Evergreen Spritz.

1. Reserve Outdoor Old-Fashioned Glasses, $28+

These colorful glasses are made of shatterproof Tritan Copolyester, meaning you don't have to worry about an accidental tumble resulting in broken glass. While these glasses are versatile enough to hold a number of different beverages, fit in with aperitivo hour by making a zero-proof spritz with equal parts soda water and Wilfred's Alcohol-Free Bitter Aperitif. Garnish with an orange wedge to top it off.

2. Mesa Acrylic Outdoor Drinkware, $39+

Choose between a short tumbler, tall tumbler, or goblet glass for your go-to aperitif cocktail. Whether you're sipping on a classic Aperol Spritz or a Booze-Free Berry & Blood Orange Spritz, these durable glasses will help your drink shine.

If you like having a variety of glasses to choose from, snag this cocktail set while it's on sale. With a mix of martini, Nick & Nora, and coupe glasses, you'll always have the right glass on hand for your drink of choice.

4. Estelle Hand-Blown Colored Martini Glasses, $205

If you're ordering a spritz at a bar, it's likely to be served in a wine or balloon glass. It's placed in front of you, filled to the brim with ice, topped off with bubbles, and garnished with an orange peel or wedge. While that kind of glass size is ideal, a classic martini glass shouldn't be overlooked, either. Just chill your prosecco, aperitif, or other low-ABV spirit prior to pouring and you won't need a glass big enough for a full scoop of ice. Cheers!

5. Liberta Stemmed Tumblers, $55

Add a pop of color to your table with these short-stemmed glasses. Dreamt up by Italian designer Margherita Rui, they are one-of-a-kind additions to your cocktail-hour collection.

6. Vintage French Champagne Coupe Glasses , $78

This isn't breaking news, but Champagne coupes were made for bubbles. With many aperitivo cocktails featuring prosecco, soda water, or other carbonated ingredients, it only makes sense to utilize the wide-brimmed design of a classic coupe.

7. Archie Glass Goblets, $60

These textured, footed goblets are beautifully crafted, inspired by Italian Gothic architecture, and come in three colors: Sage, Pink, and Clear. It's the kind of glass made for holding an earthy and fizzy Suze Tonic.

8. IVV Todo Modo Textured Colored Glasses, $56

Handmade in Italy by master glassblowers, these vibrant cups feature a rippled texture and a narrowed base fit for easy stacking. Even better? They're dishwasher-safe and come in four colors: Riviera Blue, Forest Green, Bronze Grey, and Clear.
