I use a potato ricer to squeeze all the moisture out of spinach,

You’d probably be fine, but the trick is to squeeze every bit of excess water out of that cooked spinach that you can before you add it. And even then, I’d probably put it between several layers of paper towels and blot the bejeebers out of it.
