Pre made/frozen melting chocolate cake setting and cooking

I am making melting chocolate cakes that will need to be pre made and frozen. They require to be made in metal ring moulds and the recipe says they can be frozen before baking and cooked from frozen. However, I only have 6 moulds so will need to do them in batches as I need 20. I am correct in thinking that they will need to be frozen and baked in the moulds? Or can I maybe bake for 5 minutes so they are formed, frozen then baked from frozen without a mould? Will they stay in shape or melt everywhere??
