Wondering what the best milk substitute would be for this recipe?

What would be the best milk alternative to use? Almond milk? I’m wanting it to be more creamy rather than just adding more water. Thanks!

This recipe only calls for 1/2 cup of milk or water so I think anything you have on hand would be fine but I have had great results using Califa brand barista blend or coffee creamer in recipes.
