This is made of natural teak, so variations in color and grain between pieces are to be expected (and embraced!).
A design from the Dansk archive
Danish sculptor Jens Quistgaard is the creative force behind (quite literally) thousands of Dansk pieces that have attracted a following over the decades. And this sloped-rim salad bowl is one of his most iconic designs. Made of staved teak, it’s crafted by artisans using a waste-reducing process where segments of wood are joined together, much like a wine barrel. It first debuted in the 1950s, and we couldn’t be more pleased to bring it back from the archives.

- Materials:
Sustainably sourced, grade A teak.
- Care:
After each use, clean with a damp cloth or wash with warm, soapy water, rinse with plain water and air dry thoroughly. Always hand-wash.
To take care of stains, rub baking soda over the area and give it a gentle rinse with water.
Maintain the natural wood color by occasionally applying a light coating of food-grade mineral oil after washing and drying. Then wipe clean with a soft cloth.
