Picture this: You're sitting on a beach. The waves crash gently on the shore, the sand's warm from the sun, and you worry—just for a second—you didn't put sunscreen on. (Not to fret, you did.) This is vacation—sunburns aren't allowed.
Unless you're reading this from an island somewhere, the above scenario is all but a dream. Us? We're in an office. It is, albeit, a beautiful one, but come midday and we want a little sunshine, too. Specifically, we want a tropical drink. With a glass of pineapple punch, a daiquiri, or a piña colada in hand, the office and beach might not seem so different after all. These are our favorite ways to take an average cocktail and make it sing.
Be a sucker for lemon.
Orange you glad it's cocktail time?

2 cups white rum
8 1/2 ounces Liber & Co. Pineapple Gum Syrup (or 1 1/4 cups sugar dissolved in 1 cup pineapple juice)
1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
1 1/2 cups water
Freshly grated nutmeg, to garnish
