14 Not-Spooky Sweets We'd Rather Have than Halloween Candy

Warning: These desserts are not Halloween-appropriate. There are no ghouls, goblins, or ghosts. None of these sweets are dark in huge, nor do they have names that resemble anything spooky (like, say Witch's Brew).

But here's what these desserts are: good. They're what we want to have today, the next day, through November, and, well, you get the point. They're not and do not contain Halloween candy—rather, they're what we'd like to have in place of foil-wrapped chocolate. And, if you'd really like, you can make the chocolate chip cookies or blondies dressed as a jack-o'-lantern or topped with your best pointy-tipped black hat—if you must.
