Thanks a lot Gingerroot for a lovely review. you are right, I don't drink this lassi , instead use a spoon to eat it. It is thick...Thanks to JR, for a wonderful picture...Never knew so many ways to use Avocado...

I made this last night alongside grilled strip steak and a green salad. Wonderful, even without local corn. I used the broiler for the kernels, onions, poblanos, then tossed in the avocado, tomato, mint, basil, dressing afterward. Really unusual, especially served warm.

Congratulations to all. Thank you James Ransom for the beautiful photo of the dish. Thank you LucyS for testing the recipe. For a bit more complexity ... hmm, how about oregano? crushed and toasted coriander? a squeeze of lime over the sauce just before adding the avocado? All of the above? There's always room to play when it comes to tomato sauce. I may try these things next time :-)
