A question about a recipe: Roasted Butterflied Chicken with Cardamom and Yogurt

I have a question about the ingredient "seeds from 6 cardamom pods" on the recipe "Roasted Butterflied Chicken with Cardamom and Yogurt" from TasteFood. The recipe calls for seeds from 6 pods of cardamom but I have only ground cardamom and don't want to buy whole. What is the equivalent ground for the seeds?

I'm going to make this tomorrow and I plan on using .75 teaspoon of ground cardamom to substitute for the 6 pods. I've found conflicting info online, but conversion seems to be 8-10 pods= 1 teaspoon ground. I'll let you know how it turns out...
