HELP MY MASCARPONE FROSTING THINNED OUT WHILE FROSTING CAKE

I was busy frosting the cake with my mascarone frosting and the frosting just did this. Everything was fine and the frosting was strong and solid until i started frosting

I would refrigerate the frosting and the cake for a bit to firm up, take out half hour or so before serving
