New & Now (Page 358)
Each week we get more and more great contest entries, and this past week posed the most daunting challenge so far. Both the Tomato and the Frozen Dessert themes inspired an influx of fantastic ideas, and it was really difficult for us to decide which recipes to test. We've made our selections, which we'll announce on Friday -- but in the meantime, we'd love to know which entries you'd choose as potential finalists. So please use the comments section below to tell us which recipes you liked best and why!

"As Hesser says in an interview with Tech Crunch, 'There is a huge tradition of community cookbooks, but none of them are user vetted.' This is maybe what appeals to me most about the project. It has the feel of a modern church or community cookbook, with people from all walks of life submitting. But it has expertise behind it, to ensure that there aren't, say, 15 recipes for no-bake cookies and dozens more for mayonnaise-based salads." - Jessica Battilana
Congratulations to this week's winners! Peter Steinberg won the contest for Your Best "First Corn of the Season" Recipe with Amagansett Corn Salad Helen won the contest for Your Best Shrimp Recipe with Spicy Shrimp We asked them both to answer a few questions about cooking and eating.

(And yes, if you're a finalist 5 times, you get 5 copies!) What's more, our contest sponsor OXO is creating custom prize packages from their inventory of fantastic kitchen tools, which will be sent to all of the finalists as well as the Wildcard winners.
