Take it for a spin.

We were in the market for a beautiful cake stand that could rotate for no-nonsense decorating—and after a lot of fruitless searching, we realized we had to make it ourselves. Enter: this head-turner. It has a sturdy walnut base that’ll keep your cake from shifting while you turn the rotating marble pedestal to apply frosting, icing, and other finishing touches. Another sweet bonus: The natural marble top helps your precious bakes stay cool so your icings and glazes won't melt into oblivion. (We've even updated it with the sealant finish many of you requested.) Time for the grand reveal? This dynamo's so pretty, it’ll waltz right from the counter to the table for serving.

Of course, coconut chiffon, red velvet, and lemon buttercream cakes are just the beginning. We're using our stands to serve up stacks of cupcakes and butterscotch-laden cookies, or to act as a pretty lazy Susan for toppings or condiments.
Here's a tip: Pair your new cake stand with this 10-inch shatterproof cloche, and you've got an A+ match.

and Easy-Breezy Returns

Since decorating's a bona-fide piece of cake from here on out, here are a few of our favorite layer bakes: a yellow cake mix with a story to tell, a Great British Baking Show fave you can make right in your own kitchen, and a crowd (and kid) pleasing funfetti number that's a little nostalgic and a lot of buttery forkfuls.

Though this wheeling wonder rotates with ease, it may make noise when you give it a spin.
