Larger than life.
This well-loved Dutch oven from Le Creuset is large in stature, and it has the resume to match. It does everything we turn to cast iron for, all at a lighter weight than any other cast-iron pot its size—it heats oh-so evenly, retains the heat for longer, and even locks in moisture thanks to the tight-fitting lid. That’s not all, either. See the enameled finish inside and out? It eliminates the need for seasoning, welcomes metal utensils, and resists chips and stains while it’s at it. The sand-colored interior helps you monitor cooking progress, while the wide handles make oven-to-table transfers a snap. Slow-simmered chili, clam chowder, braised ribs, chicken and rice...your stove’s seen nothing yet.
Le Creuset’s Round Dutch Oven shines on any stovetop, induction included, and is oven friendly up to 500°F. The 9-quart capacity preps 9-plus servings of soup, stew, fried chicken, you name it (hello, leftovers).

- Materials:
Enameled cast iron, stainless steel knob.
- Care:
Wash your enameled cast-iron cookware in hot, soapy water before its first use. For cleanup, hand washing is recommended. Avoid metal scouring pads or abrasive cleaners—a soft sponge and a good soak are your best friends here. Always let your pan cool for a few minutes before washing.
Nylon, silicone, or wooden utensils are best for your pan. You can use metal utensils, but they may damage the enamel coating if they repeatedly scrape or knock against the coating. Do not use an electric mixer inside the pan, and do not cut food inside the pan with a knife (this can damage the enamel as well).
